How to Help
How to Help
The Fund is dedicated to promoting a lasting legacy to Dag Hammarskjöld by expanding knowledge of and support for the United Nations through full and accurate reporting of its activities throughout the world. The Dag Hammarskjöld Fellowship Program has become increasingly important because fewer news organizations from developing countries can afford to maintain reporters in New York. The Fund does not maintain a staff. It is administered by a group of volunteer journalists accredited to the United Nations. Therefore, all contributions go directly to improving and enriching the Fellowship Program. If you wish to help us strengthen our commitment to internationalism and to reporting the important work of the United Nations, we would welcome your financial support. Donations by check or money order should be made payable to THE DAG HAMMARSKJOLD SCHOLARSHIP FUND and mailed to:

We also accept donations via Paypal:
The Fund was established as a 501(c)(3) organization in 1961. All contributions or grants are fully tax deductible in the United States. A receipt will be provided upon request.

"Our work for peace must begin within the private world of each one of us. To search for meaning in a world without fear, we must be without fear. To build aworld of justice, we must be just. And how can we fight for liberty if we are not free in our own minds? How can we ask others to sacrifice if we are not ready to do so?" ----Dag Hammarskjöld 2010 UNCA AWARDS for Excellence in Journalism Save the Date and Send Your Entry |
