A warm company , engaging discussions and delicious lasagna in Brooklyn was just the perfect combination to end up a weekend and welcome a new week.
Last sunday night along with Dag colleagues Eric and Grevasio we had the most wonderful time at dear Sheana's place who kindly invited us for dinner at her place.
Sheana was one of the first women journalists i met at my first day at the UN. She is that type of person that makes you from the very first 5 minutes chat
feel you know her for years already. A genuine human being and a great hostess. Sheana's roommate Matthew an Italian journalist working at the UN joined us at dinner too
but poor Patricia could not make it as she was covering a Catholic Peruvian parade at Soho!
Over vegetarian Lasagna we spoke our mind about many issues and conflicts around the world , yeah journalists kinda of talk . Africa , Zimbabwe , Mogabbi , Iraq , US. elections ,
and Sarah Palin's make up ! But the table dinner talk was not all politics and mundane daily news. We shared stories of our upbringing, childhood , teenage lives and wild adventures. We were all blown away by Eric who had the most amazing yet risky teenage stories. Jumping in Victoria lake where crocodiles resting the bottom of the lake! wow , Tanzanians can be very wild although i have to say Eric appears to be the most quiet, indeed looks can be deceiving :)
Brooklyn could never be more welcoming .....
